Valentine’s Date Ideas

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! Let’s be real – one of the hardest decisions year after year is deciding what to do to make it perfect for the lovely lady or gent in your life. There’s no need for it to be chocolate and flower infused or revolve around an expensive romantic meal out, there are so many other options. If you’re still searching for your Valentine’s plan look no further! We’ve been brainstorming to bring you our top 6 picks for making this Valentine’s Day one to remember.

#1 Picnic In The Park

What’s more perfect than some quality time outside with your person? Bringing your fur baby with you! Spending the day outside with yummy snacks, a picnic blanket, lots of laughs, and puppy love is one of our favorite ways to spend Valentine’s day. Although not the traditional candle lit dinner out – we think it’s just as romantic.

#2 Movie Date and Dinner at Home

Movie date at your local theatre followed by a romantic dinner in the comfort of your home? Yes Please! This date option gives you time out on the town, but also gives you romance in the most intimate environment. Go with a dinner style that suits both of you best – my favorite is italian served with wine. It may be fun to even get dressed up for your lovely dinner at home.

#3 Galentine’s DIY Date

Throw a Galentine’s Day Date that would make Leslie Knope proud! Our favorite Galentine’s activity is to get crafty with your girlfriends with a DIY project. What’s more fun than popping some bubbly and getting creative with your BFFs? Last year we made a DIY Floral Wall and it is the perfect Galentine’s Day activity!

#4 Rollerblading Date

Looking for some light-hearted fun? Here it is! A roller skating date is perfect for a unique, inexpensive date full of smiles and SO much hand-holding. You can skate outdoors or at a roller rink – whatever works for you! If you go to a roller rink be sure to grab some snacks and even ask the DJ to play your song.

#5 Take A Hike

A date idea that will take you to new heights {literally}. Whether you + your boo are outdoorsy or not, taking a hike is an awesome date activity! Choose a hike with a beautiful lookout, or beach destination to stop and enjoy together before looping back. There is something magical about starting and reaching a destination together.

Pro Tip: Pack snacks! No date is complete without food – be sure to bring some of your dates favorite foods to enjoy along the way.

#6 Truck-bed Sunset and Stargazing

This one is a little more elaborate – but hear us out. If you have a truck, pack up blankets, a lantern, board games, charcuterie, and wine! Surprise your date by going on a sunset drive and parking in a desolate spot. Start the date by watching the sun go down together. End your night by laying in the truck bed watching the stars appear and letting the night slip away.
