There is a new metallic taking over the wedding scene! It’s official – copper is making a come-back. From candle holders to cutlery, copper accents are rising in popularity for 2018. There are so many ways to incorporate copper: for utensils, drink-ware, votive holders, chargers, or even your linens! It’s hard to go wrong with the chic and simple, yet at the same time bold detail.

As much as we love copper – try not to go overboard! Choose your favorites so you can keep your metallic details minimal and intentional. Let your copper statement pieces enhance your styling.

You might ask what’s better than copper detailing? Copper detailing paired with marble! Marble is timeless and has so much versatility. Get ready to see even more uses for marble this 2018 wedding season. Marble can easily be used for paper goods, linens, chargers, table numbers, your cake, or even a marble tabletop like shown above. With 1970’s decor making a comeback marble and copper will be so present in coming 2018 weddings.

2. 3D Floral Wedding Dresses

Can you say classy? Wedding dresses with multidimensional accents add beautiful texture and detail that pops. The mermaid silhouette with a beautiful V-neck neckline shown above is exactly what we’re talking about! With an illusion natural waistline and details of lace and beaded appliques it really gives a 3D effect all throughout this full length gown. Another one of our favorites is the sheath fitted gown shown below. It is truly a stunner. It’s sexy plunge V-neck neckline detailed with sparkle and a bold lace that is a show stopper on its own, is absolutely perfect for the bride that is looking for something different but still on trend for 2018 weddings. Both of these dresses are from Bride To Be Couture – voted year after year Best Wedding Dresses in Sacramento and we couldn’t agree more!

3. Velvet Details

Talk about swoon-worthy! Say hello to regal and cozy velvet details. I’m sure you’ve been seeing velvet pop up everywhere recently whether it be for tops, dresses, and basically any article of clothing – so it’s no surprise it’s becoming a wedding trend. 2018 weddings are going to be so full of velvet detailing – and let me tell, we are so excited for this! When it comes to your wedding you want to have not only personal details – but comfortable ones! Details like napkins, table runners, lounge furniture, pillows, ribbons on bouquets, your shoes, and even for suit jackets and bridesmaid dresses are some of our favorite ways to use velvet!  Regardless of how you choose to incorporate velvet, it will bring richness and texture no other fabric can top.

4. Neon Signs

Neon signs can say so much about your wedding style {literally!}. The first time we saw a neon sign used for a wedding we fell in love. There are so many ways to incorporate them: as a ceremony backdrop, reception decor, bar decor, photo backdrop, and so much more! With customizable size and font you can be as classy or as silly as you’d like. Having the sign say “till death” or “all you need is love” are two of our absolute favorites. Neon signs are extremely cool and give you the opportunity to add your personal touch of silly, love, or humor.

Industrial venues are a blank canvas that allow you to personalize your space while keeping it’s classic and edgy feel. Beatnik Studios in Sacramento is the perfect example. With exposed brick walls, visible pipes overhead, and string lights you add so many natural details to your wedding day. Whether you fill the room with flowers and candles, incorporate greenery, or keep it modern and neutral an industrial venue is what’s trending for 2018 weddings because you can dress up the venue to suit your style.

6. Macramé Details

With bold retro details making a come-back it’s no surprise that macrame details are continuing to be on trend! Expect to see even more macrame table runners, backdrops, bouquet wraps, overhead decor paired with fairy lights, and chair decor. Macrame is the perfect blend of hippie roots and sophisticated detail.

7. Acrylic Invites + Menu Cards

Where modern meets glam. 2018 is going to be full of acrylic wedding details. From seating charts, escort cards, ghost chairs, and stationary there are so many ways to incorporate this medium to your big day! One of our favorites is  using acrylic menu cards shown in the photos below! This translucent detail brings so much sophistication to any wedding style.

8. Bold Colors with Neutral Undertones

Time and time again trending wedding color schemes are full of muted pastels and light neutrals, but not in 2018! 2018 will be a year full of beautiful bold colors balanced with neutral undertones. Dare to be different by choosing your favorite neutral base and then pairing it with statement pieces like vibrant velvet and dark bold blooms with intense colorful accents.

One of our favorite trending statement colors is Ultraviolet {named Pantone’s color of the year for 2018}! According to Pantone ultraviolet “communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points towards the future” – perfect for starting your journey as a married couple!
